Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Doctor to join our highly skilled veterinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to a wide variety of animals, ranging from household pets to exotic species. You will conduct thorough examinations, diagnose illnesses, and provide appropriate treatments, including medications and surgeries. The ideal candidate must be proficient in communicating effectively with pet owners concerning the health and well-being of their animals, ensuring they understand the care required. Your ability to make sound medical decisions and work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to the health and recovery of our animal patients.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive examinations and obtain detailed medical histories for all animal patients.
  • Diagnose illnesses and injuries in animals using various diagnostic tools and tests.
  • Develop treatment plans and prescribe medication for sick or injured animals.
  • Perform surgeries, including spaying, neutering, and other routine or complex procedures.
  • Provide emergency care and attend to urgent medical situations with efficiency.
  • Educate pet owners on the maintenance of health, nutrition, and preventive care for their animals.
  • Maintain detailed records of patients' medical histories and treatment plans in the system.
  • Coordinate with veterinary nurses and clinical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated with the latest veterinary medicine advancements and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards for the welfare of animals.
  • Participate in continued education opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct follow-up examinations and provide post-operative care to ensure full recovery.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the region.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical veterinary practice preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to handle diverse medical cases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of veterinary medicine and upholding animal welfare.
