Job Description

The Vendor Operations Associate plays a vital role in managing and optimizing vendor relationships to ensure smooth operational processes. This position is critical for businesses that rely on multiple external partners to provide goods and services necessary for operations. The Vendor Operations Associate acts as the liaison between the company and its vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts, managing communications, and troubleshooting any operational issues that arise. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align vendor operations with business goals.
  • Conduct regular audits to evaluate vendor performance and areas for improvement.
  • Act as a point of contact for vendors to resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to vendor performance and contracts.
  • Assist in the development of processes to streamline vendor management tasks.
  • Support the accounts payable team with invoice processing and verification.
  • Analyze vendor data to recommend operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to company standards and ethical guidelines in operations.
  • Facilitate vendor onboarding and training to align with organizational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in vendor management or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with vendor management software or ERP systems is preferred.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
