Job Description

The Vendor Operations Associate is a pivotal role within our organization, focusing on the management and optimization of vendor relationships. This position demands an individual who can adeptly handle supplier interactions, ensuring that our operational requirements are met in a timely and effective manner. As a Vendor Operations Associate, you’ll play a critical part in streamlining processes, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal departments to maintain a seamless supply chain. Your role will involve not only managing existing vendor relationships but also identifying potential future partners who can contribute to our company’s goals. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of vendor relationships to ensure seamless collaboration.

  • Analyze vendor performance data and provide insights for improvement strategies.
  • Develop and implement processes for better vendor communication and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in vendor dealings.
  • Identify and evaluate potential new vendors to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues promptly to maintain smooth business operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor agreements, transactions, and communications.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payments and resolve billing issues.
  • Prepare reports on vendor performance metrics and present to management regularly.
  • Support the continuous improvement of vendor management strategies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in vendor management or supply chain roles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for effective vendor relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with vendor management systems and procurement software is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret vendor performance data accurately.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different departments.
