Job Description

The Van Sales Officer is a crucial link between our company and our customers, responsible for driving sales, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring the presence of our products in various retail outlets. This dynamic role involves being on the road, meeting potential and existing clients, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, a flair for sales, and the ability to persuade and influence key decision-makers. Additionally, a keen understanding of market trends and customer needs is essential in order to tailor sales strategies accordingly. Success in this role requires self-motivation, a results-driven approach, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the broader sales team’s goals.


Responsibilities

  • Drive a sales vehicle to designated routes to meet with customers daily.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Monitor and ensure the availability and display of products in outlets.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to foster client loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to supervisors.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to close sales deals effectively.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure the van is stocked with necessary products.
  • Collect payments and ensure all accounts are settled in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate promotions and campaigns.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs and market trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a similar role, is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Familiarity with the geographic area and a valid driver’s license are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing daily tasks.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Basic proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
