Urdu Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Urdu Coordinator to lead and support the effective delivery of Urdu across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Urdu curriculum in line with British Curriculum standards.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources.
• Monitor teaching and learning and support teachers in improving classroom practices.
• Track and evaluate student progress and implement appropriate interventions.
• Support the development of enrichment opportunities for gifted and talented students and students of determination.
• Ensure effective assessment, moderation, and reporting procedures.
• Contribute to school improvement initiatives and inspection readiness.
• Mentor and guide Urdu teachers within the department.
  
  

• Postgraduate degree/Master’s in Urdu with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Urdu, preferably in a British Curriculum school.
• Previous experience in a subject coordination or leadership role is preferred.
• Excellent command of English and Urdu, both written and spoken.
• Strong classroom management, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
