Underwriter Financial And Casualty Lines

We are looking an Underwriter for our client’s underwriting team as assess and underwrite a broad portfolio of Professional, Specialty, Financial and Casualty risks.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree, preferably in Engineering or Science

• Insurance certifications: ACII or III (CPCU preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Underwriter for the following classes of business: Professional & Specialty risks, Casualty Lines, Medical Malpractice

• Advanced knowledge in English, Arabic will be an advantage.

• MS Office Programs knowledge required, Power BI, AI tools will be an advantage.

• Driving license and car preferred

• Willingness to travel as required

• Willingness to work in an international environment,

• Living in Dubai/UAE or open to relocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply underwriting and risk-selection techniques to assess new business and renewals within delegated authority.

• Review proposals, endorsements and renewals; evaluate inspection reports and financials to determine risk acceptability.

• Price risks using modelling tools and company guidelines; approve policies up to authority limits.

• Liaise with distribution teams on policy coverages, premium levels and risk modifications to improve profitability.

• Prepare and present monthly management reports on underwriting exposures, loss ratios and operating costs.

• Serve as first point of contact for internal/external queries—escalate complex issues as needed.

• Collaborate with reinsurance, claims, finance and operations to ensure seamless service delivery and premium management.

• Provide quotes to brokers/clients based on risk analyses; support negotiations and policy issuance.

• Attend broker/client meetings and assist distribution in binding and premium booking.
