We are looking for talented students interested in Computer Science and Software Engineering in the Deep Learning area to join Intels OpenVINO organization.

You will join the GenAI team in OpenVINO and will be involved in the development and enhancement of innovative Generative AI use cases.

In this role you will have an opportunity to dive deep into the architecture of generative models, OpenVINO toolkit and Intel platforms specifics, implementing new features, and optimizing performance to deliver state-of-the-art inference solutions.

You will also work on extending of the Hugging Face Transformers and Diffusers libraries for exporting, optimization, quantization and inference acceleration using OpenVINO.

The position implies working at least 20 hours per week under a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate university student working towards BSc or MSc: 3rd year or higher
  • Preferred major: Math, Computer Science or Physics
  • Python programming skills
  • Experience with Deep Learning and Neural Network architectures, particularly Generative AI models (e.g., Transformers, Diffusion models)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English (intermediate level or higher)

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)

  • C/C++ programming skills
  • Knowledge of the OpenVINO Toolkit or other deep learning inference runtimes (ONNX Runtime, Lite RT, Executorch)
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects

The Software and AI (SAI) Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intels market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
