Key Responsibilities

Visual Design:

• Create visually appealing and on-brandUI designs for Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Select appropriate colourschemes, typography, and imagery.
  
  

• Choose the right data visualization techniques (e.g., charts, graphs) to effectively communicate insights.
• Ensure that data visualizations are clear and easy to understand. Responsive Design:
• Design Power BI reports that are responsive and adapt to different screen sizes and devices.
  
  

• Maintain visual consistency across PowerBI reports and dashboards.
• Define and enforce UI design standards and guidelines.
  
  

• Define how users interact with Power BI visuals, filters, and slicers.
• Create interactive elements that enhance user engagement.
  
  

• Leverage Power BI features such as bookmarks, drill-through, and tooltips to enhance the user experience.
  
  

• Optimize Power BI report performance by minimizing rendering times and data query delays.
  
  

• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and report developersto ensure a cohesive integration of design and data.
  
  

• Document UI design decisions, patterns, and best practices.
• Create design guidelines and templates for Power BI development teams. Feedback
  
  

• Collect feedback from stakeholders and end-users and incorporate itinto UI/UX improvements.
  
  

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI updates and features to leverage new capabilities in designs
  
  

• Design wireframes
• Design high / low fidelity mock ups
• Generate Design system components
• Design Dashboard templates on Figma
  
  

• Proficiency in Power BI for creating visually appealing and user- friendly dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. Experience with DAX and Power Query for advanced data manipulation.
  
  

• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, including layout, typography, colour theory, and user experience best practices to ensure intuitive designs.
  
  

• Knowledge of data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights while avoiding clutter and ensuring readability.
  
  

• Ability to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable visualizations through close collaboration with stakeholders.
  
  

• Experience with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch to create wireframes and prototypes for dashboard designs before implementation.
  
  

• Capability to use or create custom visuals in Power BI to meet specific business requirements while maintaining design standards.
  
  

• Understanding of data modelling concepts, such as creating relationships, hierarchies, and calculated fields, to support effective report creation.
  
  

• Skills in optimizing Power BI reports for faster performance by minimizing heavy computations and ensuring efficient data queries.
  
  

• Expertise in designing dashboards for multiple devices, ensuring a seamless experience on desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
  
  

• Ability to gather userfeedback and incorporate it into iterative design improvements for enhanced user satisfaction.
  
  

• Strong communication skills to present design concepts, explain visualization choices, and train users on how to interact with reports.
  
  

• Familiarity with related tools such as Excel, SQL, and possibly Python or R for additional data processing and analysis.
  
  

• Attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and the ability to balance aesthetics with functionality in high- pressure environments.
