Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is responsible for driving sales and enhancing the customer experience through friendly and efficient service. They are expected to maintain store standards, ensure a clean and organized presentation, and assist customers with their queries and purchases. The role requires proactive engagement with customers to promote products and capture customer data for future marketing efforts. Success in this role is measured by sales performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to operational standards set by the store management team.
What You Will Do:
Customer Service
Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere greeting.
Provide customers with current, relevant product information.
Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner.
Thank all customers sincerely as they exit the store, inviting them back.
Sales and Cash Management
Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, and maintain cleanliness.
Capture customer information in the database accurately.
Attempt to add on to the sale by suggesting additional products.
Ensure transactions are processed accurately and promptly, offering gift cards when applicable.
Store Maintenance
Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
Adhere to dress code to create a positive first impression.
Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by store management.
Maintain visual presentation standards throughout the store.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to engage and interact with customers in a friendly manner
Sales-driven and proactive in enhancing the customer shopping experience
Physical stamina for continuous standing and performing light physical tasks
What Qualifies You For The Role:
High School Degree
1-2 years of retail sales experience
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to stand for at least 8 hours, with some heavy lifting required
