Overview Of The Role:

The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for creating, editing, and optimising content across IKEA's digital channels to ensure effective communication with customers. The role combines copywriting, content planning, and campaign execution to provide engaging and commercially effective communication. In collaboration with Digital Merchandising, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Commercial teams, the specialist develops content for various digital touchpoints and supports global launches, product releases, and campaigns. Success in this role involves delivering consistent, customer-focused content aligned with IKEA's tone of voice and commercial priorities.

What You Will Do:

  • Write, edit, and optimise customer-facing copy across IKEA's digital channels, including website, app, email, push notifications, and WhatsApp.
  • Create engaging and commercially effective content that supports customer engagement, conversion, and sales.
  • Manage content for customer engagement channels, adapting campaign, product, and service messaging across different channels while maintaining IKEA's tone of voice.
  • Plan and deliver content in line with trading priorities, content calendars, and campaign schedules.
  • Work closely with Merchandising teams to support global launches, new product releases, seasonal activities, and commercial campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience, Marketing, Commercial, and Digital teams to deliver a consistent customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Support cross-functional projects and contribute expertise in digital content, copywriting, and customer communication.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders for content planning and execution to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor content performance and customer behaviour to identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness.
  • Apply SEO and digital content best practices to improve visibility, engagement, and online performance.
  • Use customer insights, performance data, and SEO best practices to continuously improve content effectiveness.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and content performance to identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness and customer engagement.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in digital content optimisation and SEO best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or similar field.
  • 4-5 years' experience in digital content creation, copywriting, content management, or CRM content roles.
  • Proven experience creating content for websites, apps, email, push notifications, and other digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, digital content optimisation, and customer engagement principles.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills in written English and Arabic.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and layout design tools such as Adobe InCopy and InDesign.
  • Experience working with Merchandising, Marketing, or Ecommerce teams is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage internal stakeholders.
