Role Summary

The Treasury Team Leader oversees the daily cash flow management, banking operations, and financial liquidity of the hospitality group. This role ensures optimal utilization of funds, compliance with financial policies, and effective coordination with properties and management to maintain financial stability across all venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Treasury Accounting: The Treasury Team Leader is responsible for managing and recording all financial transactions related to the organization’s cash flow. This includes ensuring accurate posting of receipts, payments, and intercompany transfers, maintaining proper documentation, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities in line with accounting standards and company policies
• Cash and Liquidity Management: The Treasury Team Leader oversees daily cash flow activities, ensuring that operational requirements across all venues are met. This includes monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, forecasting short-term and long-term cash positions, and coordinating fund transfers, payments, and receipts in accordance with company policies.
• Digital & Cash Management: Oversees both digital and physical cash management, ensuring secure handling of funds, accurate recording of digital transactions, and optimization of payment platforms. This includes monitoring electronic transfers, managing cash floats, and implementing controls to safeguard all financial resources.
• Banking and Stakeholder Relations: This role manages relationships with banks, negotiates banking terms, and resolves any operational or transactional issues. The Treasury Team Leader ensures that banking operations are efficient, accurate, and aligned with organizational objectives.
• Reporting and Analysis: The Treasury Team Leader prepares and analyzes weekly and monthly treasury reports, including cash flow forecasts, variance analyses, and fund utilization summaries. This information supports decision-making at the group and property levels and ensures transparency and accountability.
• Compliance and Controls: ensures adherence to internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations. They also support audits and assist in developing treasury-related policies and procedures to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance.
• Team Supervision and Development: Guides and supervises junior treasury or finance staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback. They foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the treasury team.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Coordinates with finance teams and property management to align cash management, payments, and collections, ensuring smooth communication and teamwork across the organization.

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in treasury or finance functions, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of cash management, banking operations, and financial forecasting
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and attention to detail
• High level of integrity and professionalism
