Overview of the role:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsibility for identifying, designing, driving and overseeing comprehensive transformation initiatives across the organization. This involves setting the strategic direction for the project, ensuring alignment with the companys long-term goals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through leading broad, cross-functional project teams
What you will do:
- Identifies transformation needs and opportunities across the organization
- Leads collection and organization of relevant data for initiative planning and analysis
- Supports development of transformation business cases by analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations
- Helps define financial and non-financial impact of initiatives and projects
- Provide leadership and guidance to the business in the creation of business cases
- Ensure alignment of all projects to the Automotive strategic pillars and objectives
- Adherence to project stage gate processes and requirements
- Adoption of lessons learnt and retrospectives from previous projects and timely involvement of the right subject matter experts from across the organization
- Delivery of projects within agreed project tolerances of time, cost, scope & quality
- Ensuring that all deviations to projects tolerances are governed through project and portfolio change advisory boards
- Comprehensive project plan and work breakdown structure
- Prioritize the delivery of critical path milestones per project
- Clearly defined OKRs (objectives & key results) and KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure the success of a project
- Alignment of all project metrics to Automotive strategy KPIs
- Regular communication and progress review of our progress against and level of confidence in achieving agreed project benefits
- Mobilization of action plans (or escalations) to successfully deliver agreed project benefits
- Proactive and timely identification of project risks and issues
- Effective mitigation plans for risks and get to green plans for issues
- Management of all risks & issues within agreed tolerances and timely escalations to resolve them
- Active engagement & communication with all key stakeholders and workstream leads to ensure transparency & momentum
- Establish effective relationships with Automotive Executive Board members and other critical stakeholders
- Undertake regular project stakeholder mapping to assess influence & interest
- Adopt communication and engagement methodologies based on the various stakeholder preferences and project impact
- Map and communicate in advance the resources required and their time/ effort estimated for projects
- Engage with the Change Manager, Corporate Communication team and the L&D department to ensure we effectively manage project changes with minimal disruptions and maximum adoption rate
- On-time and accurate reporting for project steering committees and Automotive portfolio governance
- Weekly update reports to workstream leads and stakeholders for transparency & momentum
- Adherence of all Automotive strategy & transformation ways of working including the use of tools, templates and guidelines
- Use of mandatory project templates and reports as required by each stage of the project (e.g.: RACI, requirements gathering etc.)
- Management of all project reports in common project folders in SharePoint or MS Teams
- Continues improvement initiatives and contributions to ensure that the strategy & transformation project team maintains industry standard PM maturity rating of 4 or 5
- Coach, train and mentor project managers, product owners and other individuals from across Automotive on core PM skills & tools
- As a representative of the project management center of excellence, demonstrate project leadership qualities support in developing a mature PM capability within Automotive

About the Team:
In this role, you will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment reporting directly to the General Manager - Strategy & Transformation.
What equips you for the role:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years of professional consulting experience, typically management consultant or financial advisory background or project management experience
- Prior experience with project management
- Understanding of the automotive industry is a plus
