Job Description

The Training Manager for Food & Beverage (F&B) is a pivotal role designed to enhance the performance efficiency of staff within the hospitality industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring training programs that align with the company's operational goals and service excellence standards. You will work closely with the management team to identify training needs, develop detailed training plans, and ensure that all staff are equipped with the skills necessary to deliver high-quality service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the F&B sector, possess exceptional communication and leadership skills, and have a strong ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce. The ultimate goal is to ensure the staff is trained to offer an outstanding customer experience while adhering to all company and industry regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs that meet F&B operational needs.
  • Assess the training requirements of the staff and develop customized solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance customer service and improve operational skills.
  • Partner with management to identify areas of improvement in staff performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and amend as necessary.
  • Develop training materials, manuals, and other educational resources for staff.
  • Coordinate with the HR department for scheduling and administrative procedures.
  • Use feedback and evaluation metrics to continuously improve training content.
  • Support on-the-job training and provide coaching and mentorship to staff.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars covering safety, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest training practices and industry trends in F&B.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance team engagement and promote a learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Training, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of training experience within the F&B industry.
  • Strong understanding of F&B service standards and employee development techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for diverse training environments.
  • Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs successfully.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and training software is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Training & Development or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant training applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
