The Trainers will be essential in ensuring the successful adoption and proficient use of the new Enterprise Transformation Prohect by the Client's personnel. This role is responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of comprehensive, role-based training programs, designed to empower users and maximize the operational benefits of the COTS platform. The Trainers will play a key role in facilitating the cultural and operational shift associated with this digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and continuously update comprehensive, role-based training curricula and materials, including user manuals, quick reference guides, job aids, e-learning modules, and presentations. Content must be tailored to various user personas within the public sector entity (e.g., frontline officers, investigators, analysts, administrators).
Multi-Modal Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions using a variety of modalities, including instructor-led classroom training, virtual sessions, hands-on workshops, and self-paced e-learning, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness for all user groups.
Content Customization: Work closely with Business Analysts and the project team to understand the specific configurations, workflows, and integrations of the COTS platform for the Client, ensuring all training content is accurate and highly relevant.
Training Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough training needs assessments to identify skill gaps, learning styles, and specific requirements of different departments and user groups.
User Adoption & Support: Provide hands-on support, coaching, and guidance to users during and after training sessions, addressing questions and reinforcing learned skills. Act as a subject matter expert for user queries.
Feedback & Iteration: Gather and analyse feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continuously evaluate and improve training materials, delivery methods, and overall program effectiveness.
"Train-the-Trainer" Program: Develop and implement a "train-the-trainer" program to enable internal client staff to become proficient system trainers and provide ongoing support.
Change Reinforcement: Collaborate with the Change Management Professional to integrate training activities into the broader change management strategy, promoting user buy-in and mitigating resistance.
Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to evaluate the impact of training on user proficiency and system adoption, reporting on key outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a technical trainer, corporate trainer, or instructional designer, specifically for IT software implementation projects.
Proven experience in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for large, complex organizations with diverse user bases.
Experience training users on enterprise-grade COTS solutions or custom-built applications.
Prior experience in public sector, government, or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
Fluency in English and Arabic — reading, writing, and speaking — is mandatory for this role.
Must Have
Instructional Design: Strong proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and curriculum development for complex software systems.
E-learning Tools: Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Software Proficiency: Ability to quickly learn and master new enterprise-level software applications and demonstrate their functionalities effectively.
Presentation & Communication: Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences.
Domain Context: Foundational understanding of public safety or law enforcement operational contexts is a significant advantage for contextualizing training.
