Job Description: Test & Validation Engineer (Server & Storage)

Location: Dubai

Role Summary

The Test & Validation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated testing processes for server systems and storage solutions (JBOD, JBOF, SAN, NAS) during the manufacturing phase. You will ensure that every unit leaving the factory meets rigorous performance, thermal, and functional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Test Scripts: Create and optimize scripts (Python, Bash, or Perl) to automate hardware validation and stress testing.
• Hardware Bring-up: Debug and troubleshoot PCBA, firmware (BIOS/BMC), and system-level integration issues.
• Storage Protocol Testing: Validate NVMe, SAS, and SATA drive performance and RAID configurations.
• Failure Analysis: Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on manufacturing failures and work with design teams to implement fixes.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain PXE boot environments and Linux-based test benches.
  
  

• Experience: 5+ years in Hardware Validation, Manufacturing Test, or Systems Engineering.
• OS Proficiency: Expert level in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
• Protocol Knowledge: Deep understanding of PCIe Gen 4/5, DDR4/5, I2C, IPMI, and Ethernet (10G-400G).
• Tools: Familiarity with high-speed diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and stress tools (FIO, Iometer, Memtest).
