The Terminal Operator Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising end-to-end supply chain operations for fashion client. The role ensures operational excellence, inventory accuracy, strict compliance with customs and QHSE standards, effective use of WMS, and continuous improvement through best practices and 5S methodology. The position requires proven UAE experience in handling premium fashion products within a controlled and secure warehouse environment

Role: Terminal Operator Specialist

Direct subordinates: Team Leads/ Operations Staff

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of fashion and luxury products.
• Plan and allocate operational resources to meet productivity targets, service levels, and customer KPIs.
• Perform inventory control activities, including cyclical stock counts, to ensure stock accuracy, integrity, and compliance with client contracts and WMS requirements.
• Coordinate closely with internal departments, including Customs, Transport, WMS, QHSE to ensure smooth end-to-end operational execution.
• Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot WMS-related issues to ensure uninterrupted warehouse and distribution center operations, resolving system errors in a timely manner.
• Ensure full compliance with Security and QHSE policies and procedures within the site, ensuring zero tolerance for negligent behavior or non-compliance within operational zones.
• Ensure Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is operated safely and efficiently, with all breakdowns reported and followed up within defined timelines.
• Monitor and control temperature-sensitive storage areas to ensure compliance with product-specific and client requirements, particularly for fashion and luxury goods.
• Identify, escalate, and report operational risks, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support the implementation of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and workplace organization.
• Perform any other duties or projects assigned by the Operations Manager to meet operational and business requirements.

Internal – Operations Manager, Team Leader, Warehouse Assistants, Forklift Operators, Customer Service Representatives, QHSE.

External – Client, Vendors, Suppliers

Qualifications & Characteristics:

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered as well.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in warehouse and distrubution operations, preferably within fashion, luxury, or high-value goods environments.
• UAE operational experience required, with good understanding of customs processes and regulatory compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience in inventory management, cycle counting, and stock accuracy control.
• Good understanding of QHSE, security standards, and operational compliance.
• Exposure to Continuous Improvement, Lean tools, and 5S methodology.
• Ability to work in a KPI-driven, customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Fluency in English is a must (Must be able to “Read”, “Write” and “Communicate”); Knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not mandatory.
