The Technical Team Leader (Landscape) is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical aspects of landscape projects, including design review, shop drawings, material submittals, technical approvals, and interdisciplinary coordination. The role ensures that landscape works are executed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, budget, and schedule requirements. The position provides technical support to project teams, resolves design and construction issues, and facilitates effective communication between clients, consultants, suppliers, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the preparation, review, and submission of landscape shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
Ensure all landscape works comply with contract requirements, project specifications, local regulations, and quality standards.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, MEP, civil, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and avoid design conflicts.
Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during project execution.
Review and validate landscape design drawings for constructability, accuracy, and compliance.
Manage technical approvals and follow up on consultant and client comments to ensure timely project progress.
Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Monitor project progress from a technical perspective and assist in achieving project milestones and deadlines.
Prepare technical reports, RFIs, design clarifications, and project correspondence as required.
Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and control of all technical project information.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in landscape engineering and construction.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline.
7+ years drafting experience; infrastructure/landscape project exposure preferred.
AutoCAD mandatory; Civil 3D/Revit helpful; strong drawing control discipline
Strong technical knowledge of landscape construction
Excellent coordination and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple technical submissions
Commercial awareness with ability to support value engineering and cost optimization.
Leadership capability to guide site engineers and coordinate technical activities effectively.
