Job Description

As a Technical Sales Representative, you are the crucial link between our dedicated engineering team and our valued customers. You will employ both your technical knowledge and sales expertise to identify and pursue new business openings while also bolstering established customer relationships. The primary aim is to understand customer needs and challenges thoroughly, and then tailor our solutions to fit them. As our representative, you will leverage your technical understanding and sales skills to articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely. You will work collaboratively across departments to ensure all customer needs are met swiftly and effectively. This role requires a confident communicator who can handle an array of customer interactions with ease, from initial inquiries through to purchasing and post-sale support.


Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver technical presentations to explain products or services to customers.
  • Communicate with customers to assess their needs and suggest appropriate products.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to ensure product requirements are met and customized solutions are provided.
  • Follow up on sales leads and drive them through the sales pipeline to completion.
  • Prepare and present competitive analysis reports concerning market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure both parties achieve satisfaction and agreement.
  • Provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through account management practices.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage and document customer interactions and sales pipeline status.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and advancements to effectively position products.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and quotas set by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in technical sales or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of technical product specifications and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence in presenting.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and a strong drive for result-oriented success.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
