Technical Sales Manager

This role will lead the sales strategy and performance by setting targets, spotting new business opportunities, analysing market trends, and reporting insights to support management decisions. At the same time, you’ll use technical expertise to understand customer needs, build strong relationships, collaborate across teams and partners, and stay current with industry developments to strengthen the company’s market position.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sales Management

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. This includes establishing sales objectives, forecasting, and analysing market trends, and identifying new business opportunities.

Technical Expertise

  • Have a deep understanding of the companys products and services and how they meet the needs of customers. Use technical knowledge to identify customer requirements, provide product demonstrations, and make technical recommendations.

Customer Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through various contacts in office & projects to enhance the companys reputation and drive repeated business. This includes identifying customer needs, resolving customer issues, and coordinating customer service activities.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and present to the management key areas to support business decisions. This includes tracking sales metrics, forecasting sales projections, and providing regular sales reports to the management team.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments within the company, such as marketing, product development, and customer service, dealers to ensure that the companys products and services meet customer needs and are effectively marketed.

Professional Development

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, in depth understanding of the competition landscape and the value proposition of the solution offering. Attend training and conferences, and actively pursue professional development opportunities.

What We’d Love For You To Have

We are interested in you as a person: your attitude, behaviors and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you dont already have, wed love to speak to you. If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:

  • Bachelors degree in technical field: Civil engineering/ Architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales or a related field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Technical knowledge of the products and services offered by the company Proficiency in using sales and customer relationship management tools.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
