Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with sales acumen to drive growth and provide solutions to our valued clients. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a technical expert during sales engagements, working directly with our clients to understand their technical requirements and demonstrate how our products can meet their needs. You will play a key role in the pre-sales process, ensuring our clients are fully satisfied with their purchasing decision. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be the vital link between the engineering team and the sales department, helping to translate complex technical information into understandable sales benefits. You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients, offering ongoing support and resolving any technical issues that may arise post-sale.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and understand the technical requirements and challenges of potential clients.
  • Provide in-depth technical support and expertise to the sales team and clients.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop tailored solutions for clients' needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor products.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and tenders for potential projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings as required to support sales efforts.
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints swiftly and effectively after the sale.
  • Liaise with product development teams to communicate customer feedback and improvement suggestions.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and other sales events to promote company products.
  • Track and report sales performance metrics and technical issues encountered in client engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or engineering role, preferably within our industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset are essential.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client locations and events as necessary.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales process automation tools preferred.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a larger sales and technical team.
