As a Technical Engineer you will design, develop, implement and support infrastructure solutions for the group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies ensuring an appropriate balance between functional service quality and system management requirements. This necessitates engagement with the internal and external stakeholders while taking full responsibility for the implemented solutions and operational availability of production infrastructure.

In This Role You Will

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the deployments of solutions and ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical input to assist with Capacity Management, IT Service Continuity and Availability.
• Identigy areas of improvement withing the relevant technology area and assist the implementation of appropriate service improvement programmes which are initiated to improve service level as by increasing capacity, availability and IT Service Continuity.
• Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within the agreed Service Levels and where applicable, workarounds are provided to minimise business impact.
• Provide technical and troubleshooting support within the assigned technology area.
• Ensure that assigned problems are defined and analysed in line with the Problem Management Process.
• Ensure that solutions to problems meet the architectural and security standards within the technology area and impact to the business is minimised.
• Provide technical consultancy and guidance to teams dealing within the technology area and act as technical member in project teams delivering the work packages assigned.
  
  

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 5+ Years working in a related IT Engineering
  
  

Knowledge/Skills

• Experience in the design and development of scalable, resilient, and automated private cloud platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Experience in building API-driven self-service capabilities that enable seamless infrastructure consumption for business units and technology teams.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to support repeatable, version-controlled, and auditable deployments.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline development and management for infrastructure automation, integrating with industry-standard deployment and orchestration tools.
• Experience in automation and modernization initiatives across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Knowledge of self-service automation capabilities and their integration with service management, orchestration, and cloud-native platforms.
• Experience in automating backup, disaster recovery, and failover processes using enterprise-grade tools to enhance resilience and business continuity.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and IT governance principles to embed automated security controls, access management, and policy enforcement across diverse infrastructure environments.
• Experience in designing and implementing X-as-a-Service (XaaS) offerings, including Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), Compute-as-a-Service, Storage-as-a-Service, and Network-as-a-Service, to enable on-demand resource provisioning.
• Knowledge of service catalog development and management for infrastructure and cloud services, ensuring self-service provisioning, lifecycle management, and governance capabilities.
• Experience in self-service, auto-healing, and policy-driven automation to enhance infrastructure resilience, optimize performance, and minimize manual intervention.
