Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate work orders effectively to individual Technicians and monitor job progress.
  • Ensure Technicians accurately clock on and off work operations.
  • Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and lost time.
  • Ensure repairs are started and completed within agreed timelines.
  • Liaise with Service Advisors to clarify customer concerns and work-order requirements.
  • Translate customer concerns into clear and accurate work instructions for Technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, coaching, and mentoring to Technicians.
  • Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer procedures and workshop manuals.
  • Ensure Technicians use the correct tools and equipment safely and appropriately.
  • Assess customer concerns through inspection, road tests, diagnostics, or other appropriate methods.
  • Identify and support the resolution of repeat repairs and technical issues.
  • Liaise with the manufacturer for technical assistance and required reporting.
  • Monitor repair quality and complete quality-control checks where applicable.
  • Report work-quality, tooling, equipment, and resource issues to the Workshop Manager.
  • Ensure all work performed and defects identified are accurately recorded on work orders.
  • Support Service Advisors with initial diagnostic activities and vehicle handovers when required.
  • Promote safe working practices and the protection of customer property and the environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management to support departmental objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant automotive technician experience.
  • Relevant technical certification or qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Senior Technician, or supervisory role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and manufacturer procedures.
  • Valid UAE driving license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks without compromising quality.
  • Fair, professional, and team-oriented approach.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office and computerized workshop systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
