Teacher - Business Studies (225-919)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Studies Teacher to join our educational institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engaging lessons, imparting critical business knowledge, and fostering a stimulating learning environment for students. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of business concepts, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching. The Teacher will be tasked with preparing students for success in further education and competitive business landscapes by developing their analytical and practical skills. As a vital part of our academic team, you will also be expected to participate in curriculum development, student assessment, and extracurricular business-related activities to enhance the overall educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Deliver engaging and effective lectures that simplify complex business concepts for students.
• Assess, evaluate, and provide feedback on students' performance and progress regularly.
• Incorporate a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and capabilities.
• Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking and real-world application.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations to measure students’ understanding of the material.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the field of business education.
• Prepare students for business competitions and scholastic events to enhance their practical skills.
• Engage with students during office hours and offer extra help sessions if needed.
• Coordinate with other instructors for a cohesive educational experience across subjects.
• Organize and supervise educational trips related to business and economics subjects.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, and administrative staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Teaching certification with a focus on business studies or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary setting.
• Strong understanding of business principles, financial literacy, and economic theory.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and deliver content effectively to a diverse audience.
• Proficient in using educational technology and software to enhance student learning.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to motivate students and create a positive educational atmosphere.
• Willingness to participate in professional development and extracurricular activities.
