The Tax & Reporting Analyst plays a key role responsible for Regional VAT compliance and filing, besides managing Corporate Tax. Working closely with regional finance leadership and the Central Tax Team, the role contributes to sound Tax governance, informed decision making, and effective tax risk management across multiple jurisdictions. The position offers the opportunity to gain broad regional exposure while supporting a complex, international professional services organisation. The role is both hands on as well as advising the business. With the help of Central Tax team to remain at the forefront of changes in statute and the technology available to support compliance. The compliance regime will only increase / improve as time goes.
Adjunct to the core tax responsibility is the opportunity to contribute to the Reporting suite alongside other colleagues in Reporting role. This would allow the candidate a window into the business and great opportunity to gain insights.
Main duties and responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Advisory Support
- Coordinate and prepare indirect and direct tax filings, including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Tax returns across the region
- Maintain robust tax compliance documentation in line with regulatory and group requirements
- Support the business with practical guidance on VAT, Corporate Tax, and Withholding Tax matters in the GCC
- Assist with statutory and regulatory filings, including ESR, UBO, and related compliance reporting
Regional Reporting & Financial Control
- Support the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly management accounts and trial balances across Middle East offices
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to support accurate and timely financial reporting
- Contribute to budgeting and quarterly reforecasting activities, providing analytical insight to support financial planning
- Review reporting dashboards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group standards
Stakeholder Collaboration & Audit Support
- Work closely with the Central Tax Team and regional finance colleagues to ensure alignment with group policies and best practice
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing analysis, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Provide high‑quality analytical support to the wider Finance function as required
Essential
About you
- Recognized accounting qualification
- Strong understanding of VAT principles within the GCC and their practical application
- Exposure to Corporate Tax and Withholding Tax frameworks within the GCC
- High level of numerical accuracy with advanced Excel and Power point skills
- Experience working in a professional services or services‑based environment
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, particularly during month‑end and year‑end cycles
- High standards of discretion and confidentiality
Desirable
- Experience within a law firm or international professional services organisation
- Previous involvement in regional or multi‑jurisdictional reporting environments
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance processes
