Line Of Service Overview

At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Business Unit Overview

The Pillar Two operation unit focuses on helping multinational clients comply with the OECD’s global minimum tax rules under BEPS 2.0. It provides advisory and compliance services, supports top-up tax calculations, and leverages advanced technology solutions for accurate reporting. By combining deep tax expertise with innovative tools, the team ensures clients meet evolving regulatory requirements efficiently while driving global collaboration and thought leadership in international tax.

How You’ll Contribute

As a Senior Manager, you’ll lead complex, high-impact engagements and serve as a strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive Expertise and Thought Leadership: Shape the firm’s Pillar Two (BEPS 2.0) strategy in the Middle East, deepening technical knowledge and influencing market positioning.
  • Lead End-to-End Delivery: Oversee readiness assessments, impact modeling, and implementation roadmaps for UAE-headquartered and regional multinationals, ensuring quality and timely execution.
  • Translate Complexity into Action: Interpret OECD/GloBE and UAE rules into practical frameworks, governance models, and client-specific operating procedures.
  • Design Scalable Solutions: Architect minimum-tax compliance and reporting processes, integrating ERP and tax technology solutions to optimize data flows and automation.
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor: Provide proactive insights on regulatory developments and business implications, engaging with C-suite and senior leadership.
  • Coach and Develop Teams: Lead cross-functional delivery teams, mentor Managers/Seniors, and embed quality standards while navigating ambiguity and tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to Market Growth: Develop client-facing materials, thought leadership, and training; support business development through RFP solutioning, scoping, and pipeline building across the region.
  • Monitor and Influence Regulatory Landscape: Stay ahead of Middle East developments, briefing clients and internal teams on compliance and reporting implications.

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in tax advisory, compliance, and international tax matters, ideally with exposure to Pillar Two regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Designations & Certifications: Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of OECD Pillar Two framework and global minimum tax rules,
  • proficiency in tax modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Problem-solving and strategic thinking under tight deadlines.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Travel Requirements: Your flexibility to travel. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
