Job Description
Talent Pool – Architect supporting buildings, villas, mixed-use developments, and theme park projects across the Middle East, ensuring design solutions align with client vision, functional requirements, and regulatory standards. Develops architectural designs, drawings, and specifications while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration and buildability. Supports design reviews, site coordination, and technical problem-solving to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Review the Architectural drawings, reports and specification submitted by the Design Consultant(s) at each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness, and compliance with the scope of work and agreement requirements.
- Carry out constructability review during the Design and Modification stages.
- Review in a timely manner, the Design Consultant(s) submittals and forward comments to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure the Design Consultant(s) incorporates the comments raised from previous stages.
- Attend Technical meetings with the Design Consultant(s) and other Sub- Consultants, Contractor’s, and Clients Team.
- Review Contractor/Consultants proposed design organizations and related CVs and report to Construction Manager on his findings.
- Coordinate with PMs Document Controller and PM QA/QC Manager to ensure that all documents related to his discipline are properly controlled.
- Review any alternative to the Design concept submitted by the Design Consultant(s), prepare and submit a report including a recommendation to the Construction Manager highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
- Review the materials proposed by the Design Consultant(s) and propose alternatives to improve the quality, future maintenance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Review the change requests /variations submitted by the Design Consultant(s).
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in architecture from an accredited university
- Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience with architectural design, production techniques, codes, standards, building materials and construction methods.
- Previous experience in the field of specialization and knowledge of relevant engineering design principles, practices, methods and systems Knowledge of the construction field, regulatory standards and design standards relevant to architectural work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Knowledge of engineering procedures, design guidelines, business automation applications, and administrative aspects.
- Familiarity with the applications and tools of designing projects with the help of computer software (CAD) in second and three-dimensional technology.
- Experience of working internationally (preference GCC experience).
