Responsibilities

• Design and execute training programs tailored to swimmers’ individual abilities and goals.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate swimmers' performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement proper swimming techniques to enhance athletic performance and skill development.
• Work with assistant coaches to deliver a comprehensive training regimen.
• Instruct swimmers on water safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Organize and oversee swimming meets and competitive events for athletes.
• Provide feedback and coaching advice during and after training sessions.
• Ensure training environments are safe and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Motivate and mentor swimmers to reach their highest potential and competitive edge.
• Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and stakeholders about performance updates.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in swim coaching techniques and sports science.
• Maintain accurate records of athletes' progress and attendance in training sessions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a competitive swimmer or swimming coach with professional achievements.
• Certifications in swim coaching and water safety from recognized institutions.
• Strong understanding of swim techniques, drills, and competitive swimming strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with athletes and colleagues.
• Ability to motivate and inspire swimmers to achieve their personal and competitive objectives.
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive training environment.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and travel to competitions.
