Job Description

Hamilton Aquatics is looking for an experienced and driven Swim England Teaching Educator & Quality Assurance Officer to support the delivery and growth of our training programmes. Working closely with the Head of Operations, this role supports all new and existing initiatives linked to Swim England, STA, and other relevant courses.


The role focuses on delivering engaging, high‑quality learning experiences that enable candidates to successfully achieve their qualifications. It also includes planning and conducting audits of swimming teachers and coaches in line with contractual requirements, while upholding and developing Health & Safety standards to meet operational needs.


Key Objectives

  • Prepare for and deliver the annual calendar of Swim England Level 1 and 2 courses.
  • Prepare and deliver an annual calendar of STA Swim Teaching qualifications.
  • Deliver monthly staff training to fulfil Hamilton Training contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with the Training Admin & Marketing Assistant to ensure the smooth running of all courses and monthly training.
  • Maintain comprehensive records in relation to course delivery.
  • Conduct and record swimming teacher and coach audits.
  • Generate leads and arrange meetings to support programme growth.

Desired Qualifications

  • Qualified Swim England Tutor
  • Qualified First Aid Instructor
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or NPMQ


Desired Experience

  • Previous experience as a swimming school coordinator, experienced senior swimming teacher, club coach, or Swim England Development Officer.
  • High level of technical knowledge in one or more aquatic disciplines.
  • Passionate about aquatics, with a desire to give something back to the sport.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other teachers and coaches.
  • Well respected within the discipline.
  • Experience delivering training or development sessions to adults.
  • Innovative approach to education and training delivery.
  • In depth knowledge of regional laws and regulations.
