Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Alignment
    • Support the development and execution of the regional sustainability strategy in line with global frameworks (UN SDGs, Saudi Vision 2030, UAE Green Agenda, etc.).
    • Ensure alignment of initiatives with corporate goals, customer ESG priorities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Program Implementation
    • Lead and monitor sustainability programs (e.g., carbon footprint reduction, circular economy projects, plastic waste reduction, water efficiency, sustainable packaging).
    • Manage regional rollouts of Creating Shared Value (CSV) programs such as Linens for Life, Soap for Hope, Coffee Bricks, Plastic Shreds.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, customers, and industry associations (e.g., MEFMA, MECHF, CMEC).
    • Prepare sustainability communications, success stories, and impact reports tailored to regional stakeholders.
  • Data & Reporting
    • Collect and analyze sustainability metrics across operations, products, and customer solutions (CO₂, water, energy, plastic savings).
    • Utilize internal software and Value Advantage impact calculators to generate customer-oriented ESG impact reports.
  • Innovation & Portfolio
    • Partner with portfolio and R&D teams to localize green product ranges and sustainable innovations (eco-labels, PCR packaging, energy-efficient equipment).
    • Track and report sustainability impact of new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Training & Advocacy
    • Conduct workshops and training sessions for internal teams and external customers on sustainability trends, tools, and best practices.
    • Position the company as a thought leader in sustainability within the MENA region.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental management, ideally in MENA markets.
  • Knowledge of regional regulations (SFDA, MOIAT, EHS, GSO) and international certifications (LEED, Green Key, EcoLabel, ISO 14001).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; experience with LCA, carbon accounting, or impact measurement tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills (Arabic is a plus).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
