Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Sustainability & Environmental Specialist to join our Construction Site team! In this role you will get to contribute to the environmental and sustainability strategies for the construction of a high-quality housing community development (including villas and multi-storey buildings). The construction scope also includes grading and enabling works; infrastructure works and Roadworks.
What Youll Be Doing
Be part of site project team which require sustainability evaluation and environmental compliance.
Provide technical guidance to project teams during planning, design development, tendering and construction supervision to enable achievement of projects sustainability and environmental goals, and project permits.
Collaborate with others to provide technical advisory for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
Develop technical reports, studies, management plans, and supporting documentation for sustainability certification and environmental documentation as part of project deliverables during design and construction.
Assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants and construction contractors.
Review deliverables prepared by consultants, suppliers, and contractors for accuracy and quality, including S&E studies conducted by sub-consultants and submitted by contractors.
Ensure compliance of design and construction with all applicable specifications, codes, and regulations.
Coordinate and participate in meetings with Client, environmental agencies, consultants and contractors.
Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations related to environmental compliance and sustainability.
Review and respond to RFIs and other technical queries, and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain information as required.
Support in permit and license applications, and coordinate with authorities to secure approvals.
What Required Skills Youll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or above in architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.
Work experience of 5-10 years in an international engineering and project management or contractor.
Estidama PCRS PQP, LEED AP or equivalent, as a minimum (additional credentials a plus).
Analytical skills for assessing suitable sub-consultants and contractors.
Detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language for use in preparation of and delivery of high-quality documents.
What Desired Skills Youll Bring
Documented participation in the preparation of a third-party sustainability certification application (e.g., LEED, Envision, Estidama), including at least two (2) completed, certified projects.
Experience in coordinating with diverse individuals and teams including client, consultant, contractor, design, and construction members to enable achievement of project sustainability objectives and targets.
