About The Role

To monitor guests and staffs activities in the resort through the use of CCTV. To gather intelligence to support internal and external investigations. To conduct assessments of incidents and coordinate response to incidents. To provide support to incident commanders for all critical incidents in the hotel and form part of the emergency management plan. To have knowledge of electronic security and the security management system to supervise and initiate effective CCTV operation. Conduct audits of access control and CCTV investigations to support overall hotel security plan.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of permanent and alarm activated CCTV systems in the command centres including manual control of cameras to facilitate the monitoring of live incidents.
  • Monitoring the Digital Recording cycle of all CCTV footage
  • Ensure Digital Video Recording is in accordance with Law 13-2005 of Dubai Law.
  • To report in a timely manner all faults and failures of the Security Management system (SiPass) to Security Management and as required, to Facilities or RGS.
  • To liaise with the Police and other authorized agencies for the viewing of recorded incidents.
  • Monitoring and coordinating response for any emergency situation occurring including detection through CCTV, or alarm activations including fire and panic alarms.
  • Monitoring the fire alarm system, including the use of fire control panels and the FAVA system.
  • Monitoring and processing evacuation and warning alerts to the resort as required.
  • Providing public announcements to the resort as required
  • Provide a base radio function for operations resort wide, specifically for security, but including other departments as required (including Facilities Emergency Response Teams).
  • Ensure the Command Centre and Security Office is kept in a tidy manner and ensure is thoroughly cleaned once a week.
  • Conduct duties as directed by the Surveillance Team Leader and Duty Manager, Directors and Vice President of Security.
  • Assist Security Managers in the collection and presentation of evidence on any cases they may be investigating and may be covered by CCTV or be recorded in Key Management or Access Control systems.
  • Assist in maintaining all Resort policies and procedures through the use of the Security Management System including use of CCTV, Access Control and Key Traka Management System.
  • In the absence of a Surveillance Team Leader, take charge and use initiative in day to day security operations and critical incidents including, but not limited to: emergencies, crises and evacuations
  • Coordinate with Resort Security Officers and provide direction and leadership where necessary to achieve overall departmental goals.
  • Prepares reports as when and as required
  • Assist in enforcing discipline and standards in line with resort policy and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring performance of security officers to support Managers and in the absence of Team Leaders

About You

  • Secondary Level
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • CCTV SIRA License required
  • Minimum 3 years experience as CCTV Operator
  • At least 3 years experience in 4 or 5 Star Hotel
