Job Description

A Supply Chain Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations within an organization. This position requires a blend of leadership skills, strategic planning, and logistical knowledge to ensure efficient production flow from the point of origin to the point of consumption. The Supply Chain Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of the supply chain, ensuring that products are delivered on time, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. The role also involves monitoring performance metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising quality. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a detailed understanding of supply chain processes and technology.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient processes.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless product flow and operations.
  • Monitor performance metrics and report on the effectiveness of supply chain activities.
  • Implement strategies to enhance supplier relationships and supplier performance.
  • Manage inventory levels, logistics, and distribution for optimal efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Supervise a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Analyze financial reports and data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations within all supply chain activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
  • Implement technology solutions to streamline supply chain processes and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in supply chain operations or management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Proficient in supply chain software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills to improve processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
