Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Manage Daily Operations - Oversee logistics activities for an assigned book of customers, ensuring accurate shipment entry, scheduling, and execution.
Forecast & Plan Customer Needs - Proactively plan “1 Week Out” to anticipate shipping demands, minimize disruptions, and maintain service efficiency.
Handle Shipment Execution & Exceptions - Manage updates, reschedules, late reason codes, delivery exceptions, and audit large LTL shipments (≥7 skids or ≥7,000 lbs.).
Customer Communication & Relationship Management - Serve as the primary point of contact, providing proactive updates, resolving issues, and delivering a high level of service.
Billing, Audit & Afterhours Coordination - Ensure accurate billing references, resolve discrepancies with Freight Audit, submit afterhours tickets, and close out unbilled reports.

Frequent collaboration with internal teams and external customers
Occasional afterhours coordination as needed
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Experience
2+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
Experience with logistics systems (e.g., MercuryGate, customer portals) preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong data entry accuracy and operational execution skills Personality Traits
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proactive problem solver with a sense of urgency
Strong communicator with customer-first mindset
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Team player who can also work independently
Additional Information
Pay/Benefits/Perks
$21-23/hr
Accrue up to five days PTO in first year. Two-weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary.
