Job Description

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be an integral part of the logistics and distribution management team, playing a vital role in optimizing and streamlining supply chain operations. You will work closely with departments across the organization, including procurement, operations, and logistics, to ensure efficient supply chain processes. Your primary aim will be to enhance supply chain performance, minimize costs, and increase the overall operational efficiency of the supply chain. This role requires a keen understanding of supply chain software and optimization strategies, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints. In addition to monitoring operations, you will also be instrumental in assessing and implementing new technologies and best practices in supply chain management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies for increased efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and efficient product acquisition.
  • Monitor logistics function performance to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies within supply chain operations.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers to improve inbound and outbound shipping processes.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Work with production and planning teams to meet project performance goals.
  • Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions or delays effectively.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate contracts and vendor agreements.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain operations and performance metrics.
  • Implement technology and systems to improve supply chain operations and decision-making.
  • Provide support in forecasting demand and managing inventory levels efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a supply chain management role.
  • Proficiency with supply chain management software and logistics solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships effectively.
