Job Description

The Supply Chain Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods within an organization. This role is critical in managing the procurement of products, overseeing inventory, coordinating logistics, and improving supply chain processes. The Supply Chain Officer will collaborate closely with various departments such as procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and finance to streamline operations and enhance productivity. This position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced nature of supply chain environments. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocks in the warehouse.
  • Implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify and mitigate potential risks in the process.
  • Work collaboratively with logistics teams to optimize shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards in supply chain operations.
  • Manage and forecast demand to ensure adequate supply levels and minimal waste.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication to resolve supply chain issues effectively.
  • Utilize software and tools to enhance supply chain management efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and regulations is essential.
