As a Supplier Quality Engineer – Project & Program Management Advisor you will take the ownership of business-critical projects or programs, in regard of supplier’s quality performances during the execution of their purchase orders, in strict synergy with the Supplier Quality team and the project execution team. In this role, you will follow an individual working plan, meet project related objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer – Project & Program Management Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Being the focal point about supplier quality for highly experienced Project teams and main critical and demanding Customers, with reference to very complex projects in the Oil & Gas market, usually localized in specific regions, or programs in the new product development for energy transition sector, often involving cutting-edge technologies.
- Managing the execution of all supplier quality activities contractually due by suppliers for assigned related projects in that region, such as (but not limited to): supplier’s project risk identification and mitigation, supplier contract review, supplier inspection coordination, supplier nonconformance resolution support (NCR,SDR).
- Attending inspection and supplier visits, when needed, and participating to other specific meetings related to supplier quality, like pre inspection and progress meetings and kick off meeting with supplier.
- Supporting on supplier quality issues resolution, collaborating with Project and Supplier Quality team and working on Lesson Learned implementation as well.
- Facilitating effective communication between the extended project execution team (Buyer, Supplier Fulfillment Manager, Project Manager, Project Quality Manager, Project Engineer) and suppliers, to ensure quality and on-time delivery execution.
- Support highly experienced Technical project team for the resolution of supplier’s punch lists, related to project’s quality inspection activities.
- Regularly reporting to main internal stakeholders and top management project status and potential criticalities, driving implementation of tactical risk mitigation actions and timely complex issue resolution.
- Serving as main point of reference for regional and/or less‑experienced colleagues, coordinating their project related activities and providing them with required support to speed up their professional growth and development.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role it’s recommended to:
- Own at least 15 years’ experience in quality, industrial or energy sectors, with advanced and proven knowledge in one or more of the following areas: rotating equipment (electrical or non-electrical), fabricated equipment, engineered systems.
- Have native proficiency in Italian and full professional proficiency in English.
- Own excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Have a highly open mind and strongly data driven mindset.
It will be a matter of preference:
- A technical degree (Chemical or Engineering), or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of products and processes in the oil & gas market, or in the new energy technology fields.
- Experience with QA/QC tools and techniques.
- Advanced networking and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel frequently (>40%).
- Excellent resilience and ability to work under stress.
- Strong results driven and self-directed approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maturated experience in Baker Hughes IET processes.
- IPMA certification.
- Availability to relocate in the assigned region.
- Knowledge of Arabic language.
