Job Description

The Supervisor (HVAC-VRV)-MEP 19F26 plays an essential role in overseeing the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and variable refrigerant volume systems within the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) sector. This professional is tasked with ensuring the efficient and effective operation of HVAC systems, specifically focusing on VRV installations. These systems are crucial for maintaining optimal climate conditions within commercial and residential buildings. The Supervisor is responsible for managing installation teams, coordinating with engineers and technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, they play a pivotal role in troubleshooting any issues, training staff, and reporting on project progress.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of HVAC and VRV technicians.
  • Ensure all HVAC systems are installed and maintained according to safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align HVAC installation with overall project goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to HVAC and VRV systems promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal system performance and safety.
  • Maintain detailed records of system maintenance and installation for future reference.
  • Manage inventory and requisition of parts necessary for system repairs and maintenance.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns and provide solutions.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local and international HVAC installation standards.
  • Report on project progress and provide technical advice to senior management.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve system design and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the HVAC industry is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of variable refrigerant volume systems and MEP practices.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in HVAC operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications and training in HVAC installations and maintenance practices.
