Job Description

The role of a Supervisor (HVAC-VRV)-MEP 13D25 is critical in ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and oversight of HVAC systems, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) systems in building projects. This position involves supervising a team of HVAC technicians and working closely with engineers to ensure the project's successful execution. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, with a particular emphasis on VRV technology, alongside strong leadership abilities capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently. This role is essential in ensuring that projects meet safety standards, compliance regulations, and customer expectations, ultimately contributing to the successful completion of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the HVAC VRV installation team.
  • Ensure that all HVAC systems are installed according to specified plans and regulations.
  • Monitor daily operations and provide technical guidance to team members as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align installation activities with project timelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess system performance and implement corrective measures.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project progress and any system issues encountered.
  • Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to ensure a seamless integration of all building systems.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards on site.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in the latest HVAC VRV technologies and methods.
  • Respond promptly to any client inquiries or concerns related to HVAC operations.
  • Oversee sourcing and supply of materials necessary for VRV installations.
  • Ensure the proper calibration and testing of VRV systems to deliver peak performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HVAC supervisor with a focus on VRV systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and specifically VRV technology.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency with HVACR software and standard computer applications.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC system installation and maintenance.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects.
