The role of a Supervisor (Electrical) - MEP is pivotal in overseeing and coordinating the efforts of an electrical team within the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) department. This position involves planning, implementing, and facilitating electrical projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard within set timelines. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards, while also managing resources effectively to minimize costs. Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all electrical aspects of MEP projects effectively.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations consistently.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks of electrical systems.
• Manage and coordinate electrical team schedules and tasks efficiently.
• Work with project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to address and resolve electrical system issues.
• Prepare detailed reports on project statuses, progress, and issues encountered.
• Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure clear and effective communication.
• Implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent on-site accidents.
• Provide training and support to team members for skill development.
• Assess resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of materials and manpower.
• Evaluate and select appropriate equipment and tools for project efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical supervision within MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
• Demonstrable experience in project management and budgeting in MEP sector.
