Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Structural Engineer in the position of 14N25, you will play a vital role in designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of infrastructures, ensuring their safety and stability. Your work will involve collaborating with architects, construction managers, and other engineering professionals to ensure that structures are built in accordance with engineering principles, regulatory requirements, and specifications. You will also be responsible for analyzing, designing, and estimating load-bearing structures or components, and will be expected to handle problems on various projects efficiently. The ideal candidate must possess excellent technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders involved in a project.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other topographical data.
  • Design new engineering solutions and modifications to existing structures as needed.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Communicate with contractors, architects, and construction managers for project coordination.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Create detailed design calculations to substantiate construction methods and solutions.
  • Assess and address environmental and sustainability concerns related to structures.
  • Ensure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety regulations.
  • Review and approve plans and specifications presented by junior engineers.
  • Liaise with engineers from other disciplines to align project goals and objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in the engineering aspects and devise solutions accordingly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project developments, timelines, and efficiency metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Proven experience of at least five years in a structural engineering role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and methods.
  • Proficient in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and Revit.
  • Excellent project management skills with a keen attention to detail and timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
