What You Will Do

The Strategy Manager is a key role reporting to the Director for Strategy, Transformation and Sales Excellence for the Middle East and Africa region, based in Dubai. You will be responsible for providing key insights and analysis to enable profitable growth, manage strategic projects, across multiple countries, functions, and lines of business. You will drive business results through economic and financial analysis to support decision-making, identify best practices to strive for continuous improvement, support the generation of innovative ideas and programs, and drive the transformation agenda within the regional transformation framework.

You will be part of a small, agile team where work is highly strategic in nature with high leadership visibility and impact, which represents a significant opportunity to contribute, learn and grow.

How You Will Do It

As a Strategy Manager for Strategic Projects, you will be working in close collaboration with the Strategy and Transformation group within and beyond the MEA region and various stakeholders across the organization in creating the country-level strategy for the product portfolio and ensuring we have the right business model in place to achieve our business goals.

Business Intelligence

  • Proactively identify and evaluate key strategic trends, opportunities & risks for areas in which business intelligence efforts can add business value
  • Translate business information (qualitative and quantitative, internal and external) into high-quality insights in a timely manner to enable business decision-making
  • Tackle abstract issues and solve complex problems with a structured data-driven approach and innovative mindset in a fast-paced environment
  • Build models and assumptions to account for missing data to draw conclusions and provide recommendations
  • Act as the owner of external market intelligence in the region, producer of regular analyses and reports, and central keeper of business intelligence knowledge

Strategic Projects

  • Work with functional and operational leadership to identify business unit-wide and initiative-level program scope, budget, schedule, resources, and business cases
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive business strategies that will drive profitable organic growth
  • Perform business analysis and develop business cases for new strategic initiatives
  • Lead simultaneously multiple strategic initiatives for the region– from opportunity identification, prioritization, diagnostic, design, pilot, implementation, and impact measurement
  • Support all business units in decision making, identify risk, and deployment of strategic business transformations.
  • Monitor the business impact of strategic initiatives (e.g. revenue, market share) measuring the impact and status of initiatives across the region
  • Support Initiative Owners accountable for their deliverables/outcomes, including financial impact/contribution, and coach them across multiple aspects – project scope, budget, schedule, resources, business cases, change management
  • Manage issues, risks and opportunities, assisting team members in removing roadblocks and escalating to management issues that cannot be resolved

What We Look For

  • Graduate degree in management, finance, or engineering field; MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Strategic project support or program/project management
  • Relevant work experience in strategy/management consulting, ideally with significant case experience in manufacturing and services and demonstrated experience in leading business transformations and implementing strategic plans
  • Excellent knowledge of financial concepts
  • Proven track record in research capabilities, data analysis, drawing and synthesizing insights, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills (verbal, written, and listening) for a variety of audiences, with the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders and senior leadership team
  • Excellent presentation and PowerPoint and MS Excel skills
  • Highly organized and able to multitask, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and interest in the building solutions space, technology, and innovation
  • High-energy, passionate, with a proven track record of delivering results and high resilience in a challenging environment
  • Willing to challenge others and be challenged
