Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team and manage the daily operations of our inventory facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory movements. The ideal storekeeper will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. With strong communication skills, the storekeeper will coordinate effectively with other departments to ensure the seamless management of stock and supplies. Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming deliveries and ensure accuracy with purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records to track stock levels efficiently.
  • Organize and store goods systematically to facilitate easy retrieval and inventory checks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.
  • Conduct regular audits of stock levels to identify and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Issue supplies and equipment to departments upon receiving authorized requests.
  • Implement and adhere to proper storage and inventory management procedures.
  • Coordinate the disposal of obsolete or defective stock following company policies.
  • Monitor stock levels to identify and report low supplies to management proactively.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to forecast and plan future inventory needs.
  • Ensure that storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a system for tracking equipment and its scheduled maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
  • Proven experience working in warehouse settings or storekeeping roles is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or similar warehouse equipment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
