Job Description

As a Store Keeper, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our storage facilities. You are responsible for managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the store. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical in tracking stock levels and managing supplies. You will collaborate with various departments to meet their storage needs and ensure that all inventory activities align with company policies. Your role will also involve maintaining a safe and clean work environment while providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Ensure that stored goods meet quality standards and are correctly labeled.
  • Organize and maintain the store area, ensuring it is tidy and accessible.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels.
  • Prepare and package goods for shipment as required, following safety protocols.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to inventory or deliveries.
  • Coordinate the disposal of surplus or obsolete stock in compliance with company policy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse management.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and suppliers.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address inventory discrepancies or other issues.
