Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Store Assistant to join our team in the Automotive Spare Parts sector. As a Store Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the store operations, ensuring that our extensive range of automotive spare parts are well-organized, accurately accounted for, and easily accessible to both staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in automobiles, experience in inventory management, and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, assisting customers with their queries, and supporting the overall efficiency of the store operations. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize inventory of automotive spare parts in the store.
  • Assist customers with locating and selecting appropriate spare parts efficiently.
  • Monitor stock levels and promptly report inventory shortages to management.
  • Process transactions accurately using the store's point-of-sale system.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Keep sales records up-to-date, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality is maintained.
  • Support the store's promotional activities and assist in merchandising displays.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and stockroom areas.
  • Assist in conducting periodic stock takes and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any queries or issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all store safety, security, and operational policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve store operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail, particularly within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts and inventory systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records.
  • Ability to lift and carry items of various weights and sizes appropriately.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
