Job Description

As a Stock Controller at Sports 20J25, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will ensure that our stock levels are in alignment with the company's standards to prevent any shortages or discrepancies that may hinder our operations. This position requires someone with exceptional organizational and analytical skills to manage and track our product inventory effectively. Working closely with the purchasing and sales departments, you will continuously monitor inventory levels to support the delivery of seamless service to our customers. You will also be responsible for performing regular stock takes and audits to guarantee stock accuracy and efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock levels to meet supply and demand requirements efficiently.
  • Perform regular audits and physical counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to manage effective stock replenishment strategies.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in stock quantities and implement resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures to safeguard the inventory from theft.
  • Generate periodic inventory reports for management to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to predict stock necessities and avoid product shortages.
  • Manage and organize the storage layout to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Implement inventory software updates and perform necessary configurations as needed.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed for handling and storing stock items.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement processes for stock management.
  • Train new staff on stock control procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar inventory management role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with various departments.
  • Qualification in logistics, supply chain management or related field preferred.
