Job Description

As a Stock Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our inventory operations to ensure optimal stock levels and effective supply chain management. Your primary responsibility will involve monitoring inventory movement, managing stock levels, and analyzing inventory data to inform business decisions. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies. Additionally, you will be responsible for forecasting demand and coordinating with procurement to replenish stock as needed. Your role is integral in maintaining the balance between supply and demand, ultimately contributing to the efficiency and success of our operations.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and forecast demand accurately.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and warehouses to ensure timely stock replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to minimize discrepancies and stock shortages.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with procurement to anticipate and fulfill future stock requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and modify them as necessary.
  • Generate detailed inventory reports and present them to management regularly.
  • Resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with different departments to coordinate inventory needs and priorities.
  • Implement quality control checks to ensure stock integrity and safety.
  • Manage surplus and redundant inventory through effective disposal strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory management or a related field is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to forecast inventory needs accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred.
