Job Description

As a Stock Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our inventory systems to ensure effective stock control and management. In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you are responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, ensuring inventory accuracy, and contributing to continuous supply chain improvements. Your efforts will aid in minimizing shortages and enhancing operational efficiency. You will work closely with purchasing, logistics, and sales teams to secure optimal stock levels and to anticipate future needs based on forecasted demand. Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and identify items that require replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock audits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock items.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to improve storage and retrieval processes.
  • Identify and manage obsolete or excess stock to improve turnover ratios.
  • Implement and monitor stock control policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate product recalls or quality concerns with relevant stakeholders swiftly.
  • Analyze past sales data and forecast future inventory needs with accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations regarding stock control.
  • Support the accounts team in resolving inventory-related discrepancies timely.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and control stock levels effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar inventory role.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate forecasting and planning.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various teams and suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
