Job Description

The Stock Assurance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of stock levels within a company. This position involves overseeing stock assurance processes, ensuring that stock discrepancies are minimized, and collaborating with other departments to enhance the overall efficiency of stock management. The Stock Assurance Supervisor is responsible for implementing effective stock control measures, conducting regular audits, and leading a team to achieve inventory accuracy goals. Responsibilities

  • Oversee stock assurance operations to ensure inventory accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and implement stock checking processes to minimize discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular audits of stock levels and report findings to management.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and propose corrective actions.
  • Lead and train a team of stock assurance associates for optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain policies for efficient inventory management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all inventory-related regulations and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve stock-related issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with logistics to optimize stock handling and storage processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on inventory metrics to track performance.
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance stock assurance mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or stock assurance roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in managing a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve inventory discrepancies.
