Job Description

As a Stock Assurance Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company's inventory operations. The position requires maintaining accurate records of all products and stock levels to ensure seamless supply chain management. Your primary objective will be to oversee inventory control processes to reduce discrepancies, plan inventory audits, and implement stock optimization strategies. In collaboration with various departments, you will ensure that stock levels meet the demands of the business without resulting in overstock or stockouts. This role demands a detailed-oriented mindset and strong leadership skills to supervise a team effectively, aiming to streamline processes and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of stock management.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily inventory management processes ensuring all stock is accurately logged.
  • Coordinate and conduct routine stock audits to minimize discrepancies and errors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce stockouts.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast stock needs based on sales data.
  • Ensure all stock handling procedures comply with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Train and supervise the stock staff to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and adjust orders to meet demand fluctuations without overstocking.
  • Lead initiatives for inventory process improvements and automated solutions.
  • Analyze stock reports regularly to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Liaise with warehouse teams to streamline receiving, storage, and distribution operations.
  • Address and resolve any inventory issues or discrepancies that arise promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate stock deliveries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or stock assurance roles required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret stock data and forecast demands.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and data analysis tools.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
