About the Role:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Field Engineer to join our growing Professional Services team. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, guiding them through the full lifecycle of API and microservices adoption using Kong’s platform.
• You will lead customer engagements from solution design and implementation to deployment and optimization, ensuring successful adoption, long-term value realization, and high customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, consulting capability, and strong stakeholder management skills.
  

• 8+ years of experience in Professional Services / Consulting / Technical Implementation roles
• Hands-on experience with API gateways and API integrations
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API lifecycle management
• Proficiency in Linux environments and development tooling
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel as required.
  

• Experience with application development (Java, Go, Python, or similar)
• Background in API Management / Middleware / SaaS platforms
• Exposure to Open Source technologies and communities
• Experience working in customer-facing consulting or enterprise environments
